Overview

A Transition defines an allowed move between two statuses for a File or Issue inside a Review Flow — for example, In Review → Approved, or Approved → Issued for Construction. Configuring transitions ensures items can only move between statuses in ways that match your real-world approval process.

The Transition Diagram is a visual map of all configured transitions. It is available both during Review Flow configuration (to verify your setup) and as a preview when a new Review is being created (to help initiators confirm they have selected the right flow).

Transitions are configured separately for Files and Issues — both must be set up if your workflow involves both entity types.

Prerequisites

• Access to the relevant Project and Space.
• Permission to edit Review Flows in Space Settings.
• Statuses for Files and/or Issues have already been configured in Portal Settings and added to the Review Flow — see Configure Statuses for Files and Issues in a Review Flow.

Configuring Transitions

Step 1 — Open the Review Flow

1. Open the relevant Space.
2. Click the Settings widget (top right corner of the Space).
3. Select Review Flows from the sidebar.
4. Click the Review Flow you want to configure to open it.

Step 2 — Open the Transitions section

• Inside the Review Flow, navigate to the Transitions tab or section.
• Switch between the Files and Issues tabs as needed — transitions are managed independently for each entity type.
