In the AEC Industry, we have ASMEP Consultants (Architecture, Structure, Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing) who work separately on individual models. For coordination and clash detection purposes, you might want to have a federated model by merging all the different models in one.
In CUBE, you can merge models directly without having the need to use any other software for the same. You can merge 2 or more files at the same time in CUBE.
You can follow these simple steps -
Open the Space where the files are located and click on “Merge”

<aside> ℹ️ Files can be merged only if they belong to the same Space. Merging files from different Spaces is not supported. Additionally, files in the External section cannot be merged with files in This Space of a parent Space unless they are first consumed into This Space, after which they become eligible for merging.

Firstly, name the merged file in the pop-up screen.

Select the files to be merged from the pop-up displayed. You can select 2 or more files for merging and creating a federated merged model.

You can merge either a 3D model with a 3D Model, a 2D Dwg with a 2D Dwg, or a 3D model with a 2D Dwg as well.
Add all the selected files to the list using the “Add to Selection Below” button. Once all the files are added to the list, click on “Attach” and the file will be ready for further use.

You can also see the ‘Constituent files’ later from the properties panel by selecting the merged file and clicking on the Properties Icon on top-right corner of the File Manager.
