Overview

A Review Flow is the reusable workflow template that defines how files, drawings, and items move through review and approval in a Space. It defines the levels (or stages) a Review must pass through, who can act at each level, what conditions apply, and how statuses and transitions are applied to the items being reviewed. Once a Review Flow is configured in a Space, it can be selected every time a new Review is created in that Space.

Prerequisites

• Access to the relevant Project and Space.
• Permission to open Space Settings and edit Review Flows in the Space.
• Statuses for Files and Issues are configured in Portal Settings if you want them applied through this Review Flow (see Configure Statuses for Files and Issues in a Review Flow).

Creating a Review Flow

Step 1: Open Review Flows in Space Settings

• Open the Space where the Review Flow should live.
• Click the Settings widget (gear icon) in the top right corner of the page.
• In the settings tab, you will see three options: Space Roles, Review Flows, and Form Flows. Select Review Flows.

Step 2: Create a new Review Flow

• Click + Create Review-flow.
• Enter a clear Name for the flow (this is what initiators will pick when starting a Review).
• Add a short Description so users understand when to use this flow.

Step 3: Add and configure levels

A Review Flow is made up of Levels — each level is a stage of approval. You can add up to 20 levels per flow.

• Add a level for each stage of approval (for example: Internal Review → Discipline Lead → Client Approval).
• Name each level so its purpose is obvious.
