An Estimate refers to an approximate calculation of quantities along with their associated costs for a defined set of items within a project. These quantities may represent measurable parameters such as length, area, volume, or count, and can be derived using measurement operators or entered manually when required.
In CUBE, an Estimate functions as a high-level entity within a Project, allowing users to organize and evaluate cost and quantity information effectively. Multiple Estimates can be created within a project, each residing within a specific Space that the user has access to.
While a consolidated list of Estimates can be viewed at the Project level, it is important to note that every Estimate is inherently linked to the Space in which it was created and remains associated with that Space throughout its lifecycle.
Here’s how you can create an Estimate in CUBE.
Once you are inside your Project, click on the ‘Estimates' icon on the left panel of the screen.

Click on the ‘Create New Estimate’ button to create an estimate.

Fill in the following details as specified below

As soon as you select the Cost Database, system will ask for Cost Index. By default, Cost Index value will be 1, but it can be changed as applicable.
If you choose Specify permissions in the next step, the Create button will change to Next button as shown below:

In the next screen, you can define the permissions of individual users in that Space.
