Overview

Custom Data Date Support allows users to select a specific Data Date for scheduling, rather than being restricted to the system default (today’s date at 8:00 AM).

This enhancement enables teams to simulate different project timelines, analyze progress against historical or future checkpoints, and make informed corrective decisions to improve project delivery.

What is a Data Date?

The Data Date is the reference date used by the scheduling engine to:

• Calculate remaining durations
• Forecast activity end dates
• Evaluate progress status
• Apply predecessor logic

Previously, the system automatically used today’s date at 8:00 AM as the Data Date. With this feature, users can now manually select the desired Data Date.

To use a custom Data Date, follow the steps given below.

• Go to a Project, open the Schedules Module

  

• Open a created Schedule

  

• Click on Configuration

  

• Under General, select the desired date and time

  

• When the Date is updated successfully, a success toast is shown.

  

• In Gantt, click Schedule Now

  

The system will now use the selected Data Date instead of the system’s current date.
