A file versioning system is a type of file system which stores copies of a file at various points in time, rather than simply overwriting changes. Thus, it is a kind of revision system which lets the user access the older versions or copies of a file as it appeared at any point in time.
CUBE allows you the same functionality to upload new versions of the same file and also keep track of it.
To view the versions of a file in CUBE, the property bar can come in handy. To access the Properties of any file, simply click on the check box next to the file and the details of the file will be visible.

Scroll down in the Properties panel and you will find the versions section where all the versions of the file would be listed.
In the versions section, you will be able to see the following details -

You can also see a bunch of different icons beside the file version. They are as follows -

The Versions tab also provides you with certain other functionalities. You can add a note to a version for the users to understand the changes made or any other information. You can even download a particular version of the file.
When a New version of the file is uploaded, a label saying “Top version” can be seen as a tag. Along with this, the older version will have the option to restore it as the “Top version” and also a Preview option to view the file.
