Initiating a Review Using Review Flows
This article explains how to initiate a Review using an existing Review Flow, what prerequisites must be met, and what happens once a review is successfully started.
What is a review initiation?
Review initiation is the process of creating a new Review and triggering a predefined Review Flow. It defines how files move through approval levels, who is notified at each stage, and how feedback is collected and tracked within the system.
Once initiated, the review progresses according to the configured flow, ensuring accountability, visibility, and structured decision-making.
When you’d use it
- You are ready to submit drawings or files for formal review or approval.
- You want to follow a predefined approval hierarchy instead of manual coordination.
- You need to notify specific reviewers at different levels automatically.
- You want a clear audit trail of review progress and reviewer actions.
Before you start
- Ensure at least one Review Flow is configured in the project space.
- Confirm that you have permission to create and initiate reviews.
- Verify that all required drawings or files are available and ready to attach.
