Feature_video_14_-_Managing_Access_to_files.mp4
Users in your space can have different levels of access to specific files and folders. Managing the access of the files and folder is very easy in CUBE and can be done from the Properties bar. The only thing to keep in mind is that for any user to have certain access, he/she should be a part of that space. If a user is not added to a space, the name will not be visible in the access section.

ℹ️ Only Manager with full access will be able to add users to the space.

Once the user is added to a space, follow these steps to provide file or folder access to them.
Step 1 - Single click on the file, and the Properties bar will open on the right side of the screen and you’ll be able to see the ‘Access’ section.

Step 2 - All the space users will be visible here and you can change the access of a file or folder with the help of the down arrow next to the user permission.

There are different access levels for users. An admin can provide different access to users as per their use and authority.
These are the different permissions that can be provided to the users in CUBE with respect to folders and individual files -
- Full Access When a user is provided with full Access, the User can share their documents with team members and view and edit any other documents in that folder. With full access permission, they can also carry out tasks within that folder that is usually restricted to other members such as deleting a file, editing the details, commenting, adding new members and providing access, downloading a file, etc. Full access to a folder also gives the user permission to create subfolders in the original folder.
- Can Edit - With this, the user can only upload or download any file, modify the file, and provide comments for the same.
- Can Change Status - Here the user can download the file, provide comments to the file and also change the status of that file. To know more about Statuses, click here.
- Can Download - The user can only download the file and provide comments on the file.
- Can Comment - The user can only comment and won’t have any other permission.
- Can View With this access, the user can only view the file and won’t be able to edit, download or share the file with others.
- No access - As the name suggests, the user will not be able to access the particular file if this setting is provided. Except for the specific file, all other files in the folder will be visible to the user as per the access provided to him.
