Finding the right reference file for a specific element—like its 2D drawing or related documents- should be quick and effortless. With Search in Space, you can instantly locate files linked through custom metadata directly from the Design Viewer, without manually browsing folders or switching screens.

To search for files using Custom Metadata, follow the steps:

• Open the required model or file in the Design Viewer.

  

• Click on the element within the model and select Custom Metadata as highlighted below.

  

• In Custom Metadata, click on the three-dot (⋮) menu and select Locate in Space.

  • The system will automatically use the custom metadata associated with the selected element and search for Files in the Space having the same name.

  

• The relevant File will be displayed in the search results.
