Overview
When rolling back a Review, CUBE normally steps through every level between the current level and the target level. Skip levels during Rollback lets you bypass those intermediate levels in a single rollback — for example, rolling back directly from Level 4 to Level 1 without stopping at Levels 3 and 2.
Use this when an issue is identified at a higher level that needs to go back to a much earlier stage, and re-engaging the intermediate levels would add unnecessary delay.
Prerequisites
- Access to the
Reviews module in the relevant Space.
- The Review is on-going (not closed, rejected, or revoked).
- The levels you want to skip must have the bypass during rollback condition enabled in the Review Flow. This is configured per level by an admin — see Configuring Conditions for Review Flow Levels.
- The difference between the current level and the target rollback level must be 2 or more. Skipping levels is not applicable when rolling back by just one level (e.g. Level 2 → Level 1 works like a standard rollback).
Step 1 — Enable bypass on the relevant levels
Before skip levels can work during a rollback, the relevant intermediate levels must be configured to allow it.
- Open the Space and go to
Settings.
- Open
Review Flows and select the Review Flow you want to configure.
- Select the level that you want to allow to be bypassed during rollback.
- In the level's conditions panel, enable the bypass during rollback condition (the icon shown below).
Under Conditions, selecting the highlighted bypass conditions enables those review levels to be skipped when a rollback jumps past them.
Step 2 — Create a Review and trigger a Rollback
- Create a new Review using the Review Flow you just configured (or use an existing on-going Review).
- Open the Review and click Rollback Level.
- The rollback dialog will show the available target levels. When the level gap between the current level and a target is ≥ 2, the bypassed levels will be shown so you can confirm what will be skipped.
